Band Blast: Lots of information! Please read!

Band Families,

Flower Fundraiser:

Flower Fundraiser is going on now!  Profits from this fundraiser will go towards your student's band account.  Please take advantage of the fundraiser to assist with this year's fair share obligations and get a head start on next year's.

Band Booster Meeting:

If your child is in the marching band, concert band, symphonic band, color guard, or any other aspect of the band, you are a member of the Band Boosters.  Our next meeting is Tuesday, March 6 at 7:00 in the Band Room.  Please attend.  At the March meeting we will be taking nominations for the Band Board.  Positions available are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Ways and Means as well as lots of committees that need parent volunteers.  This is a necessary group for us to keep the band alive at ARHS!  No board=No band.  Voting will take place in April.

Symphonic Band:

Rehearsal on Wednesday, March 7 @ 4:15 - 5:45.

Percussion Ensemble:

Concert on Sunday, March 11 @ 7:30 p.m.  Please come and show your support for the percussion group as they will be leaving on Wednesday to head to Indianapolis, Indiana to perform at the National Music Festival!  Parents of Percussion Ensemble will meet with Mr. Pence at 6:00 for final details of the trip.  If your child needs to take medication with them on the trip, please bring the medication and any other medical information with you to the meeting to give to Mr. Pence.

Winter Guard:

Both the JV and Varsity Color Guard Teams had great performances Saturday at Clover High School!  JV finished 5th in their class which consisted of several really good groups and the Varsity Team finished 1st in their class!  Congratulations to both teams for their accomplishments!  Both teams will be in competition on Saturday, March 10 at James F. Byrnes High School in the Spartanburg area.

Fair Share Obligations:

All families need to diligently work towards paying off the Fair Share and other Band and Color Guard Obligations.

Seniors and Band Fees:

Senior families need to make every effort to pay fair share obligations and fees before graduation in May.  Ms. Radcliffe does not allow students with outstanding fees to participate in the graduation ceremony or walk across the stage.

Survey:

A survey was sent out last week in reference to a possible trip in December 2018.  Please complete the survey (one per family) by Wednesday, March 7.

See you Tuesday at the Band Booster Meeting!
